ESPP offers a limited number of Recruiting Fellowships to new students who are admitted to a Ph.D. program at MSU for the Fall semester and are interested in earning a dual major doctoral degree in Environmental Science and Policy. To attract high-quality applicants to MSU, the one-time $7000 fellowship can be added to the fellowship or scholarship that the student receives from the primary Ph.D. program to make the total offer more competitive against offers from other universities that the student might have received.
Graduate Program Directors can identify potential applicants and submit the fellowship nomination to ESPP. The application package, including the 1) nomination form filled out by the department, 2) dual major doctoral degree application form filled out by the student, and 3) a copy of the student's application to their primary program, should be submitted to ESPP (espp@msu.edu) by February 1. The Graduate Program Council (GPC) will review all nominations and make recommendations as early as possible to help with recruiting the student.
