The Environmental Science and Policy Program (ESPP) invites abstract submissions from undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral scholars at MSU for the upcoming ESPP Fall Student Research Symposium. This event, scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the Lincoln Room at the Kellogg Center, aims to bring together researchers from various disciplines to address pressing issues at the intersection of environmental science and policy.

This year's theme, "Embracing Interdisciplinarity in Environmental Research", focuses on innovative approaches to integrating science with policymaking. We seek abstracts from students at all levels, highlighting collaborative effort and knowledge exchange that drive sustainable outcomes. The symposium will serve as a platform for sharing transformative strategies that bridge the gap between policy and practice, promoting long-term ecological balance and socio-economic resilience.

We welcome submissions of research at any stage of development, which can be presented either as an oral (12 minutes with PPT) or poster presentation. All submissions will be evaluated by faculty judges, with awards given to the top presentations. Join us to showcase your innovative research, contribute to holistic solutions, and engage in discussions that embrace interdisciplinarity in environmental research.

To submit, please provide the project title, author(s), and a 200-word abstract detailing the rationale, approach, findings, and contribution to environmental science and policy. Additionally, indicate whether you prefer to be considered for an oral or poster presentation.

Abstracts are due Thursday, September 13, 2024.
