BIOGRAPHY

Kate is a PhD student dual majoring in Biosystems Engineering and Environmental Science & Public Policy. She finished her BS in Biosystems Engineering at MSU in 2024 and has been a member of Dr. Jade Mitchell’s Risk Modeling Lab since 2021. Her research interests include human health risk, chemical risk analysis, and quantitative microbial risk analysis (QMRA) in water science. Kate is also a trainee in the WaterCube NRT Fellowship Program working in the intersection of data science, water science, and social science. Her current research is focused on the prioritization of emerging contaminants in drinking water.
