Logan is a PhD student and University Distinguished Fellow at the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability (CSIS) in the Fisheries & Wildlife Department.
Logan received his B.Sc. in Environmental and Soil Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After briefly working as an environmental consultant, he moved to Humboldt County, California. There, he received his M.Sc. in Wildlife Ecology from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt (formerly known as Humboldt State University), researching the impact of wildfire on northern spotted owl nesting habitat along the Redwood Coast. Now at MSU, Logan hopes to draw from his experience in landscape ecology, statistics, and programming to answer questions at the interface between human and natural systems, supporting global biodiversity conservation efforts.
