I am a doctoral student in the Environmental Engineering department, interested in sustainable energy transformations. I hope to work at the nexus of engineering, community, and public policy to improve energy democracy in historically marginalized and developing communities. We are all limited by our unique lived experiences and specializations, which is why I believe interdisciplinary approaches (such as those fostered by ESPP) that combine technical solutions, social science methods (specifically community-based participatory research), and science-based policies are crucial to creating lasting change. I have a B.S. in Bioprocess Engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry, and prior to MSU worked as a process engineer and project engineer. My personal interests include being outdoors, reading, and bike touring.
