ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN
THE ECONOMICS OF BIO-ENERGY AND ENERGY MARKETS
AT MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY

The Departments of Economics and Agricultural Economics at Michigan State University seek a tenure system Assistant or Associate Professor to develop an international reputation for scholarship in the economics of bio-energy and energy markets with an emphasis on the interface between agriculture, the environment, natural resources, bio-fuels, alternative renewable energy sources, and petroleum based fuels. Areas of specialization might include, but are not limited to, industrial organization, econometrics, public economics, economics of technology, environmental economics, and financial economics. We seek an individual who can provide creative research leadership and quality teaching and who will collaborate with other researchers at Michigan State University and elsewhere. This expectation is that this individual will hold a joint position in the Departments of Economics (50%) and Agricultural Economics (50%). The holder of this position will be expected to develop a well-funded program that results in high quality research and outreach.
