Q: Can I submit an abstract if I attend another college or university other than MSU?
A: Absolutely! We welcome submissions from students at all levels and institutions. All presenters will be eligible to win cash prizes.
Q: What are the registration fees?
A:Registration is free and includes all meals. Parking in the Kellogg Center garage will be validated.
Q:Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
A: Yes, you will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email one week before the symposium.
Q: How do I cancel my registration?
A: Simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting that your registration be cancelled.
Q:Will name badges be supplied onsite or mailed?
A: They will be available at the registration table onsite.
Q: Do I have to submit an abstract with my registration?
A: No you are welcome to attend as a spectator or as presenter but only presenters need to submit an abstract.
Q: What is the latest date to submit an abstract?
A: September 8, 2017
Q: May I record or take photographs throughout the meeting?
A: You are welcome to record and photograph throughout the meeting, although please limit flash photography as to not disrupt presenters.
Q: How large are the posters?
A: Posters can be any size but we suggest students use the standard research poster size of 40"x32" (102 cm X 81 cm)
Q:How will I know if I have been selected to speak at the symposium or present a poster?
A: You will be notified by the Student Organizing Committee shortly after the deadline for abstract submissions whether or not your application has been accepted, and whether you will be making an oral or poster presentation. If you have not heard from the committee by Oct. 1, please email email@example.com
Q:Is there free Wi-fi anywhere?
A: Yes, Michigan State University provides free wireless internet to guests of the university. Simply select "MSUnet Guest" and approve the policies.
Q:Where may I park?
A: Please park in the garage adjacent to the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. ESPP staff will provide you with a parking validation voucher at the registration table.
Q: I am a non-MSU student. Will I be provided any accomodation or travel expenses?
A: Sadly we are not able to provide free accomdations or reimburse travel expenses for our student presenters.
Q: My research is not directly related to the Urban Environment field. Can I still submit an abstract?
A: Yes, please submit your abstract. It will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee.
