Biosketch: Jinhua holds appointments in the Department of Economics and the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics. He was a co-editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (2005-07) and is on the editorial council of JEEM and the Review of Development Economics.
Research interests include: Natural resource and environmental economics, applied micro theory, global climate change, energy economics, trade and environment, real option theory, technology adoption, dynamic decision making.
Biosketch:Dr. Tarabara is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at MSU. His research interests are in the interdiscplinary area at the junction of colloid and interface science and separation science. Most of the current work focuses on membrane processes and materials with projects on emulsion separation, virus removal by porous membranes, and catalytic membrane reactors. Dr. Tarabara is a recipient of 2011 Paul L. Busch award from Water Environmental Research Foundation and 2014 Fulbright U.S. Scholar fellowship to the Republic of Georgia. He is a member of the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors, International Water Association, and North American Membrane Society and serves as Special Issues Editor of the ASCE Journal of Environmental Engineering.

Biosketch: Marcy Heberer is in charge of ESPP's finances, including fellowships and grants, and schedules.
She was previously at the Visiting International Professional Program (VIPP), part of International Studies and Programs at MSU, where she worked for two years. Now at ESPP, Heberer says, "I love it here." Working at ESPP meshes with her interest in environmental science and policy.
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Heberer has traveled extensively throughout the United States before settling down in East Lansing with her three children. Some of the places she has lived are South Carolina, Florida, Texas, and Minnesota. Before coming to MSU she worked for 14 years in East Lansing's public schools. She has strong MSU links, with her daughter having graduated from MSU in 2005 and a son who now studies economics here.

Biosketch: Karessa Weir works on various outreach efforts for ESPP, including writing for and maintaining the website, and also serves as student advisor for ESPP students. She has a master's degree in environmental journalism from MSU, as well as bachelor's degrees in journalism and anthropology from MSU. She has worked as an environmental reporter in Michigan and Maryland. She and her husband, Brian Wheeler, have three children.
Biosketch: Kera is a junior studying Agriculture, Food and Natural Resource Education with a Biological Science (teaching minor) and additional minors Environmental Studies and Sustainability, and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. Kera also currently works at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center as an Usher Supervisor and as an undergraduate research assistant with Dr. Matt Raven focusing on food systems and educational techniques that help to improve student learning in the classroom setting. Kera enjoys being active in the environment, playing and watching sports, especially Michigan State sports!
Biosketch: Lauren is a sophomore studying Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (major), Anthropology (major), and Women and Gender Studies (minor). She has previously worked for the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams before arriving to ESPP in March 2017. Along with being a proud member of the Spartan Marching Band as a tenor saxophone, she enjoys reading, writing, going on adventures in the wilderness, and watching Michigan State sports!
Biosketch: Sierra is a sophomore in the College of Lyman Briggs studying Actuarial Science (major) and Computer Science (minor). Sierra also works as a student landscaper for MSU Landscaping Services. She is involved in Alternative Spartan Breaks and Honors Times Two Mentoring. Along with volunteering and mentoring, Sierra loves to read, cuddle with her dog Lacy, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.
Biosketch: Jarek is a junior in the Eli Broad Business College majoring in Marketing. He is involved in Camp Kesem, Relay for Life, StudentsCare and the Michigan State Entrepreneurship Association. Besides volunteering and working, Jarek loves eating good food, running, traveling, and spending times with friends.
